Creating Custom collections

Are we able to create a collection and use "publication date" as a way to filter the collection? I have Theological Journal Library 1-8 and am trying to assist beloved. type:journal,publication date:1992

For my hard work I get nothing even though there are journals with the publication date listed. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/72860.aspx

Thanks. Now would the syntax be for a time period. Say 1980 - 1990. Mine is not working.

Here is what I came up with. In order to cover the entire Nineties: type:journal pubdate:199

For 2000 - 2009 type:journal pubdate:200

For 1980's type:journal pubdate:198

Etc.

The advantage to this is we can now search the journals on a give topic by decade.

Etc.

If you want do do a range of several decades, you could do

type:journal pubdate:(198,199,200)
