Can anyone tell me the purpose or significance of the little blue megaphones in the ESV text in Logos 5?

They are known as "Speaker labels" and are intended to denote who is speaking.
Sometimes it is obvious - as per the example below:
Sometimes it is less obvious and can be helpful in providing a visual prompt as to who is actually speaking
They can be enabled / disabled from the visual filters menu
Incidentally, these are not just found in the ESV, they are present in any Bible with a relevant reverse interlinear.
