Software won't start

My logos 5 software has suddenly stopped working (I use Windows 7). The message I get is as follows:
"the exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x76e7c41f."
I know little about computers and urgently need a solution as I have deadlines and am dependent of logos for my work!

Sorry to hear you are having problems.
Can you enable diagnostic logging and post logs as per http://www.logos.com/support/logos5/windows/problem?

When was the last time you updated Logos? If you don't have the newest version, then I would start there by downloading the newest version here. I would restart first to make sure nothing is locked in memory that will mess up the install process. That may be the quickest fix.
Disclaimer: I hate using messaging, texting, and email for real communication. If anything that I type to you seems like anything other than humble and respectful, then I have not done a good job typing my thoughts.

Hi all,
Thank you so much for your responses and sorry for the late reply. Before you responded I did a system restore to the day before and everything worked more or less OK. I figured, however, the problem would come back again, but it didn't. Not sure what all that means but the main thing it's working now.
