A8 - not crashing, just frozen with spinning color wheel

Since install of A8 I have launched it, but it is frozen... spinning wheel. The installer and indexer did its deal, but the program is unresponsive. I have force quit a number of times and restarted, even restarted computer but to no avail.

However, it is not crashing. So, there is not a "crash log" so to speak.

Anyone experienced this with any of the Alphas?

I haven't experienced this since Alpha 4. Posting your logs as per the instructions at the top of this forum would probably go some way to helping one of the Team Logos Mac Jedi-knight ascertain the problem. Out of curiosity, which version of OSX are you running?

Donovan is correct. Even if you have to force quit, it is helpful to post all your logs per the instructions linked to in my signature. Good luck.

The OS is 10.6 - I'm wondering though, I just did a Mac "Firmware Update," then after that, opened Logos 4, it updated and have had trouble since then. No trouble previously.

So... two changes at once, don't know if one has effect on the other.

No, interestingly enough I have been putting off this update. What I will do tomorrow morning before I launch into my studies is that I will run Alpha 8 for a bit, then I will do the firmware update to see if there are any effects. I'll post them here if there are.

Yes, I did it when it first came out, had something to do with noisy drives. Not a problem for me.
