NIV for Australian users
Hi Guys & Girls,
Just finding my feet with this amazing program so apologies if this question has been answered previously.
I'm an ESV man myself (not wanting to get into a flame-war about that though haha) but was keen in adding the NIV to my collection of Bibles. Each time I go to purchase it, I'm told that it's not available in my country (Australia). Is there any other way that I can add the NIV to my Bronze package?

Solved it....
Turns out I can buy a copy of the Anglicized NIV,,,,so for all of you out there with the same prob, head on over to: http://www.logos.com/product/29979/the-holy-bible-new-international-version-anglicised

For years I had to use the Anglicised NIV, purchased through a Lutheran package.
However, when L5 platinum was installed NIV sneaked through. When the new NIV2011 came out it was upgraded.

Hi Stephen,
so what you are saying is that it is possible to get NIV 2011 in Australia? Unfortunately I haven't been able to use Logos for any of my studies as I need to have the Zondervan NIV 2011. Must be a licensing issue in Australia. Can't see any other reason why they wouldn't make it available to Australian customers. Frustrating as I love the software and would love to use it to it's full potential.

I'm an Australian Logos user. My library includes the Zondervan NIV(1984) and The Zondervan NIV (2011) - both of which have reverse interlinear facility. I may have bought the 1984 NIV separately at some time, and the 2011 one probably came with one of the various incarnations of the base packages I have moved through over the years (currently Gold). At some time I also bought the NIV with Anglicised spelling (1984) published by Hodder and Stoughton. One problem with not being able to get the Zondervan-published NIVs is that they are the only ones that have the reverse interlinear capability. If you really want one, why don't you keep clicking on the order buttons and see if it really does stop you from buying it. It seems really dum for Zondervan to only sell its electronic NIVs to US and Canadian customers, since it's almost impossible to buy a paper-based NIV in Australia in anything other than a Zondervan edition (with all those moronic simplified spellings that the Yanks insist on using and imposing on more civilised parts of the English-speaking world).

What does everyone here think of the NIV11 Anglicised as a Bible translation, and commentaries based on it?
One commentary set that's based on it, is: New Covenant Commentary Series (4 vols.).
A NT one based on the older NIV84, is: Baker’s New Testament Commentary (HK) (12 vols.).

I don't agree with that about authorship for Rev, see: Re: Johannite Church ~AD 90.
So the only valuable volumes would be the two volumes on Ro, Eph. You should call Sales and try asking for a better price, I guess You might get 15% off if You order something else too at the same time:
