As a pastor who uses an iPad to study & preach and who wants to use this Bible app for many years to come, adding tags is a very important feature

Could you help me understand what you mean by tagging? Are you hoping to tag resources or passages? The function you're hoping for may be available under a different name.
Sure! Here is an example, when I highlight a passage in Logos Bible for iPad for an upcoming message, I'd also like to be able to tag that verse. For example, if my sermon is on marriage, I would tag that particular verse with the word "marriage." This would be HUGE in the years going forward when it comes to using Logos Bible for counseling, sermons, weddings, etc. It makes no sense to me not to have this feature, especially for ministry professionals, and could be a reason for me to choose a different Bible app (although I love Logos!). To the best of my knowledge this is not possible, I stand to be corrected. A work around is to use highlighting.

That's too bad there is no tagging of Bible verses. Highlighting won't help.

Yes, this would be a useful feature. I think it has been suggested before but I don't know where. It would be good if it worked in all resources, not just Bibles.
Maybe one way to implement this would be to allow associating a keyword with a highlighting style, and then implement a method for searching for highlighting keywords.
