Footnote numbering in personal books

I'm creating Personal Books that have non-numeric footnotes (in one case Roman numerals, in the other case marks such as *, etc.). In both cases, these footnote markers are unique to each page, not to each chapter or each book.

In Word, I've made the changes to the footnote settings, so they're displaying correctly there. But in Logos, they're just numbered 1,2,3,4,etc. Does anyone know of a fix or workaround for this?

I am not sure I know completely how you are doing it, but here is a small snippet of a docx personal book where the end notes are sent to i, ii, iii, and they display in Logos 5.1a beta 2 correctly. I am not sure I know how to change footnote styles by page.

I'm running into the same issue. I have all of the footnotes set to "*, †, ‡, §, ...", and Numbering set to "Restart Each Page." Compile to PB, and they all turn into numbers. I did some testing, and "a, b, c, ..." and "i, ii, iii, ..." formats (upper- and lower-case) are honored. It's just the "*, †, ‡, §, ..." option that gets ignored. This is Word for Mac 2011 if that makes a difference.

As a work-around, I found that by clicking the Symbol input option and typing an asterisk, that compiles as expected. It's just a pain to specify the symbol every time. On a side note, I found that if un-superscript the asterisk, it is much more reasonably sized in the resulting PB.
