Crash

Within a specific Bible version (this happened with both ESV and NIV 84), with the Surface, Manuscript, Manuscript (Transliterated), Lemma, Morphology and Strong's Numbers boxes all checked, I began unchecking them and the program shut down. It has happened immediately or after I have un-checked two or three or four. It has happened, before, when the boxes are unchecked and I begin checking them to expand the display. After each time an information window opens with specifics and a Reopen button as the only option.1033.Logos4Logs.skimmell.20130806-175120.zip

Welcome to the forums Steven! Sorry you are having troubles. [:S]

Some thoughts:

Your logs don't show the crash. Did you enable logging? Did you allow Logos to crash, then grab the logs BEFORE restarting? See my signature line for a link to instructions.
Is there a reason you haven't updated to at least the free L5 engine? It is recommended for all users with appropriate specs… I see you are running 10.8.4, which means that you qualify. Here is a link to the installation page: http://www.logos.com/installation

Thanks for the tip on the update to L5. I didn't know I qualified. Whatever the case, the new engine works great. I think we can leave this behind. I didn't save the logs before the crash; didn't understand I needed to. Anyway, if you want me to do it again for you to see what was going on, I would be happy to do that. Let me know.

I didn't save the logs before the crash; didn't understand I needed to.

The correct procedure:

Make sure logging is enabled. It is turned OFF by default.
Start Logos and allow it to crash.
Grab the logs BEFORE you restart Logos and upload them. If you restart logos, it will create a new log and erase the old one.

Anyway, if you want me to do it again for you to see what was going on, I would be happy to do that. Let me know.

The software is ALWAYS free. It is resources for which you must purchase. The only "qualifying" that you have do do is have a computer which can actually run the program. L5 Mac requires 10.6 or better. You can download it via links on this page: http://www.logos.com/installation
