Transfers of notes and highlights to updated resource

Do my notes and highlights transfer to an updated resource?  I have The Expositor's Commentary in which I did a lot of highlighting and notes, then I purchased its update.  Will a transfer of theses features in the former have automatically taken place or not?  Thank you and blessings. aka Captain Beaner

At this point, it is important to be technical. The Expositors Commentary which you are referring to is considered a BRAND NEW resource, so no, notes and highlights will not be transferred over. The only exception would be notes attached to a reference, but those notes are visible in ALL versified resources anyway.

When a resource itself is updated (rather than a new resource created), notes and highlights should remain in place.
