Japanese Bible with Furigana

I did a search, and the latest message I found in the forum was dated 2011. I know many have asked for this since then as well. I even wrote the CEO.

It seems really odd that Logos wants to remain the leading Bible Software in the world, but has not provided this. It seems with all this cutting edge tech, providing this would be a given.

I like Logos a lot. I've been using it for YEARS, (I used Libronix also), yet, I must say I am very disappointed a Japanese Version with Furigana is not offered.

Come on Logos, you are better than this!

Me too. There was a time Logos (Libronix) offered a Japanese-Greek Interlinear through the Japan Bible Society. There were a couple legal conflicts (not involving Logos) over the copyrights of certain modern translations. Many digital versions of the Japanese Bible were withdrawn.

I know there are public domain versions available and some copyright versions are now available in digital form so I don't understand what the hold up is. Logos has already proven they can manage the text and they are publishing Chinese and Korean Bibles.

Don't be too harsh on Logos. It may be something beyond their control. They do seem to be publishing a lot of foreign Bibles so I imagine they would like to publish a Japanese version. (with furigana!)

Chinese, Japanese (sans Furigana) and Korean works are easy to do since they are straight up Unicode.

It takes special sauce to produce Furigana (a.k.a. Ruby characters).

Yes, but furigana has been done in A-Bible so I know Logos can do it.

I am not convinced that label has anything to do with Logos5. Logos 5 has a blue cross and a blue spy glass in white box surrounded by a blue box. However, Logos the company and Logos4 had a white cross and a white spy glass surrounded by blue. Not, to mention that Logos 5is a Windows8 and up platform but this product is Libronix and notice under the computer pre-request (which are under the screen shots):

And even before you get to that you'll see the following in red:

◎ Windows8に対応する予定はありません。(No, scheduled release for Windows8)

And, if you're using windows with IE10 the Audio Greek will not function.

To my eyes this product does not appear to have been updated for a while. It, would be interesting to know if the Japanese text would work in Logos4/5? I guess that might be what the logo there is for?

That is what I am curious about. I guess a person could just run it as a Libronix 3.0g program and add English Libronix files to it. The price seems reasonable for what it comes with.

I wonder if it is only licensed for sale in Japan.

I also wonder if I would have activation problems here in the US if I had a friend ship it to me...........

Activation shouldn't be a problem I have used 2nd/3rd party Libronix products before and if I remember correctly activation usually happens on your computer first when you enter in the codes, and then later you can synchronize with Logos directly. I think that was the case with the full SESB3. Yeah, you could just add English, that's what I did with the SESB3 since I can't read German.

The one Amazon is selling is Version 1.0. The Bible House product is Version 1.1 so it may run under Logos 4/5.

It does "work" (depending on how you define that). The text can be displayed, copied to the clipboard, etc. The Greek text and morphology has not been updated for Logos 4/5 so there may be problems with morph searching. It doesn't have a Logos 5 reverse interlinear, so you can't use Bible Word Study, Exegetical Guide, etc. with it.

There is also a Japanese Bible in that product (I think). It seems to function in Bible Search in Logos 5, but since I am not a Japanese speaker, I can't provide any assurances that it functions correctly. Again, it hasn't ever been updated for Logos 5, so there may be various incompatibilities. There is no Ruby text in the Bible.
