Associating a layout to a custom guide

I want to associate a certain layout to a custom guide, but haven't been able to find a way to accomplish it. If I understand correctly, the layouts work more like saving a workspace in L3 but it would be helpful if when I enter a passage in the guide I could determine the layout of the results. Is there a way of doing this?

Unfortunately there isn't a way to do what you want. You can save a layout you like with the custom guide open in it, but Logos has its own way to decide where to open resources so most likely as you click on resources in your guide you'd see them opening in places you'd rather not (unless, of course, they are already open in the saved layout).

You could open a particular Custom guide and then save the layout. Re-arrange the layout with a different Custom guide and then save that. Open L4 with the Ctrl key pressed and select a layout (I think?) or start normally and then select another layout.

Or you can simply create Custom guides and open the ones you want in any layout. For customising guides see http://wiki.logos.com/Guides

EDIT: OK, you can't guarantee how resources opened from the guide will appear!!

I would also like to see this working. Simply associating a guide with a particular layout would be powerful for me. I would like to be able to use this any time I want to do a particular study. Right now there is no great way to do this but it seems like the framework in place should be able to support it.
