Never Ending updates

I just received a notice to download resource updates in L5Mac. I ran the update and had some book changes, but I keep getting prompts for updates. I have downloaded and updated 7 times now and have another bouncing in my dock. I notice that each time it downloads the resource count increments gradually, but isnt this supposed to be bundled into one entire download and not 8+ separate downloads? I am running 5.1 SR-3.

I am running Windows and had three today. Like you, I am not sure why it took three updates to finish.

I have lost count of updates, I am over 20 now. It looks like it is trying to replace every book in my library a few at a time. I find it hard to believe that there have been over 100 updated books released today. There has to be something wrong, I just dont know what or how to address it.

Something is definitely wrong. This is the second update on one machine. Do not want to update the second machine, until the first is finished.

I finally have turned off updates. It never ends and I have to actually use logos, not just keep on replacing my library in increments.

They do seem to be dribbling out.

Maybe it's time to set my download times to an smaller window in the program settings--say an hour in the morning.

Good idea Todd, but who wants to do that with a laptop? It can affect your battery leaving it plugged in over a long period of time. I am getting another set of downloads 115.4 MB.

I leave my laptop plugged in all the time (with the battery), but you could remove your battery while it's plugged in.

However, you could just set the download times to a time you know you will be on the computer. Or else just turn off automatic downloads and only do manual ones.

Just got 105 titles from one (manual) download notification. Every volume of the Pulpit Commentary has now been refreshed (one was done on July 28).

I had one title updated earlier today and 152 titles updated 5 minutes ago. No problems during updates.

I'm using a MBP 17" early 2009, OSX 10.8.4

Question: Did Logos release them in batches? Was not using Logos until very late in the day and got 139 in one download.

Still downloading two or three at at time. Just set it to download between 11:00 and Noon. Hope this solves the problem.

Dave, is there a way to remove a file or something to force Logos to download all of the updates at once? I tried resource update, setting a time for download, and I still have 89 MB of updates. When I get the prompt, it probably downloads two or three books and then I have to repeat it all over again.

I have tried leaving it on all night to see if they will all download did not work.

Not recommended! This was due to a mistake by Logos and the only way to minimize such an eventuality is to NOT automatically download updates and reject the download. If another notification appears with a bigger download then you can choose to reject and repeat the cycle until you want to accept. I was fortunate in getting a single notification for all the batches.
