In keeping with our value of being open and honest with our customers and each other, I'd like to be the first to come out and say that we made a mistake--a while back--and are now discovering and correcting it.

Hasting's five-volume Dictionary of the Bible was mistakenly put into production when it has only met about half of the cost it would take to produce it. This is because its production estimates were switched with Hastings' other, shorter one-volume Dictionary of the Bible, which came out at around the same time.

Now we're moving this back into Community Pricing, having recently discovered what its real production estimates are and what it would take to get it to 100%. We're truly sorry for the continued delay on this product--I myself really want to see these books ship--and we hope that with the bigger, more active pool of customers we have now (compared with when it was moved into Pre-Pub two years ago) we'll not only be able to deliver this out of Community Pricing, but hopefully give you guys another chance to reduce its cost once everyone has jumped on-board with this title.

Again, I'd like to apologize for our mistake and the delay that this product has gone through. Now that the problem has been identified and addressed, we'll put every effort in moving this product forward as quickly as possible.
