I just discovered the little dropdown arrow to the right of the search box, and the fact that previous searches are now organized by date the way autosaved layouts are. That's cool! A nice improvement over the way L3 did "Previous Searches" in a separate dialog box. It's now fewer mouse clicks to redo a past search. And you can also delete previous searches one at a time by clicking on the grey X to the right of one. In L3 you could only clear the whole list at once.
It might be nice to add back in the possibility of clearing the whole list at once, in case people want to do some massive housekeeping. It probably doesn't take too much memory or slow down performance perceptibly at all keeping all of those old searches around, but someone might want to clear the list out if it got unwieldy.
