     Welcome to the Forums!

You can't - because there is not a word-for-word equivalence between translations.

What you can do is attach a note to a reference with a note marker, then that note will appear in each translation that uses the same index (way of identifying books, chapters, and verses).

Welcome to the forums Jesse! [:)]

To add a little to what David wrote... Notes may be attached either to a reference or to a selection. Highlights in Logos are, by definition, notes of "selection." In Logos the user "selects" the text he or she wants to highlight, even down to the very character. If highlights were to be by "reference," it would mean several things:

    1. The ENTIRE verse would be highlighted. You wouldn't be able to highlight a word or phrase.
    2. Pages and pages of commentaries would potentially be solid highlights. If you highlighted Jn 3:16 and Jn 3:16 was covered over 4 pages, you would have 4 pages of highlighting. Note: any note by "reference" is included in ALL versified resources, not just bibles.
    3. If the highlighting we're attached somehow to a combination of reference AND lemma, you would have a mixmatch of highlights, since translations don't necessarily keep the same word order
    4. similarly, highlights attached to reference AND lemma would only appear in translations with reverse interlinears
