Why is it so difficult to put only once a credit card info? Don't you trust Logos? Even if you don't and Logos takes unauthorized transaction, you can still easily dispute credit because you are using bank money and not yours...

Requiring a Credit Card for a free book is a limitation of the software. There are other explanations. It does not get changed.
The books are free.

Software runs fine without a cc. I ran that way for a while.

The software is built to handle sales by CC. To process sales without the CC info would require a major rewrite. Personally, I would rather Logos to put their efforts in improving L5, not in a minor annoyance like this.
If you don't trust Logos, supply the CC information, download the book, then delete the CC from your profile.

Another option for the OP would be to buy a credit card-type voucher from a retailer, activate it, and leave those details on your Logos account.

I had not thought of that before but it is a good option for those who are a bit nervous about submitting their CC.

I do kind of wish that Logos would put this FAQ on their purchase page, you know the one that asks for the credit card.

Ok to be fair, that is MY answer and I don't work for Logos. It is however a "feature" of the software.
