Bug? Android doesn't go to sleep while app diplayed

If the Verbum app is open and displayed, Android doesn't go to sleep as it normally would after a few minutes of inactivity. I'm not sure if this is a bug, but it certainly is strange if not.

It's not a bug. Most reading apps keep the screen from turning off while you're reading.
