If I right click on white space, sometimes the verse reference is the first verse in the chapter instead of the nearest verse:
Todd, I find that if I right click on the left margin, I get the first verse of the chapter. If I click on the white space on the right margin, I get the nearest verse (Using Beta 5).
Do you get different behavior, or are you clicking some other white space?
[Do you get different behavior, or are you clicking some other white space?
In the example picture, I am clicking in the space between words in the middle of the text block (check the position of the mouse arrow). I often click in the left margin too, and it's not always predictable whether I'll get verse 1 or the one I'm next to.
Okay, I see now.
Actually I'm getting different behavior than you. Sometimes I get the verse at the beginning of the pericope, when I click in the white space between words (NIV). In the ESV clicking around Eph 6:17, I see Eph 5:33. But it's really hard to do that in either Bible without accidentally selecting something.
It seems very consistent, though, that if I click in the right column I get the verse current at the end of the margin (paragraph ends and pericope headings may shift me to the next verse).
