Denise, your title got my attention. You're such a sensationalist!

I hate to always be the bad guy who throws cold water on everyone's excitement ... but ....
The ESV was revised in 2011. This looks like the OLD version. Maybe it will not matter to some folks.
This looks like the OLD version.
I have no inside info... you will have to take my comments with a grain of salt. [;)]
I purchased the ESVSB in hard copy a number of years ago. Along with that paper copy, was online access to the study bible, along with the audio version. The "artist" voice was David Cochran Heath, and at the time, it was NT only. I just checked and can verify that the David Cochran Heath audio HAS been updated, and includes OT as well as NT. My guess is that the 2008 publication date represents the original work, but that the audio has also undergone an update. In fact, I can't imagine that the audio we would be provided would be pre-2011. This is being provided from via the publisher and translation committee. They have every desire for the newest version to be utilized.
For those who are interested... I found a link to the changes in ESV in 2011. I am not sure where this document comes from, but HERE is the link.
Thanks Denise!
Thank you Denise!

If it is the updated version then it really is a great price [Y]

And if not, I am returning it for a refund. [:D]
Thank you, Denise.
15 posts, and 350 views, Denise certainly knows how to gt people's attention.
If you order by midnight and enter the coupon code KevinISCool, then I'll pick up the tab on everyone's order if they get in at this ridiculously outragious price.. That's midnight as in the day Jesus comes. If Logos changes the price, then I'll have to beg out on the commitment. Even at 1 percent more I can't afford it.

1 Percent more? I bet you could afford to pay for 100% more. [;)]
Thanks for the heads-up!
With that subject line you almost had me going. I'm getting tired of hearing how expensive some people think Logos is.
It seemed a bit crass but I thought maybe people would like the pre-pub.
Yup, I thought it was going to be another one of those threads. And George, like you, I'm tired of it. So the question is, why did we click on the link? Why don't we just ignore all the ranters. Good thing we didn't in this case, though I'd seen it already anyway and put in my order.
Anybody listen to it yet? I'm still curious if its the 2011 update.
Easy way to tell: 1Cor 7:21-23 in the older version uses "slave", 2011 update uses "bondservant".
No one has mentioned this yet:

I did in the other thread... Are you complaining about this? The publisher is extending this to us free, with no cost to us. They can put the restrictions on us that they want. [;)]
Are you complaining about this?
Heavens no. I just didn't know if anyone realized that this is nothing more than an internet broadcast, and not a resource.
It is cool that it will be accessible from within Logos.
I wonder what other zero dollar items there are? Internet broadcast? O dear...I have been duped.
I signed right up : )

Yeah, that old version was so riddled with errors! [6] But they got it right this time. They promise.
When the ESV was updated in 2011, the print edition was re-released with a new publication date. The audio was updated, but not necessarily re-released, so the publication date remained the same. In short: this is the new version, but the 2008 publication date is still correct. Revision vs. update is a publisher thing. We have chosen to list it the way that Crossway does.
Thanks Ray. [:)]
Not sure why the fact that it is an internet broadcast is a point of issue. It is free, and most of us are online usually anyway. I'm just thankful that my version of choice is available!
I very much appreciate that we will be able to have this resource even though you have to have an internet connection. One reason why I would really appreciate not having to have this connection is that there are times when I don't even have the option of a connection. Perhaps in the future this will be an option.

It would be nice if a user already had the ESV Hear the Word Audio Bible on their device, if Logos could access it from there too.
Or maybe offer the streaming version free as planned, but also offer a downloadable upgrade option for a price.
Thanks Paul.
