Logos Bible Software 5.1a Beta 2 (5.1.1.0578)
Your software is considerably out of date (to be on beta channel). I would download the new engine directly. You can get a link from this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/74446.aspx
Are you running on windows or Mac? What OS? I wonder if this is a permissions issue...
You could try this:
Navigate in Windows Control Panel to "Programs and Features" then find "Logos 5 Prerequisites" and "Logos Bible Software." Right click on them and choose "Repair."
If that doesn't work (and it may require a restart of your computer), please enable diagnostic logging: http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
Then post your logs: http://wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs

Issue resolved!!! Thank you Richard and Alabama -- I truly appreciate the quick response and help -- and forgive me for not posting more detail about OS etc. Richard I went to control panel and found 2 Logos Prerequisites installed - so I deleted both and restarted Logos 5 - it then installed and updated to the latest beta version. Everything is now working wonderfully! Thank you again for your help!!
