How to organize my Logos 5 Library

I just purchased Logos 5 portfolio edition and I am overwhelmed with the books just being in one big pile, nothing is divided up. I don't know what I have for commentary's or handbooks they just seemed to be all thrown in one pile. Someone please give me some suggestions or help.

Welcome to the Forums Bradley. Here are a couple of links for you to explore:

Look under Library, Collections and Bibliography. http://www.logos.com/training/desktop

Do take time to look at the wiki article.
You have two basic options: collections and tagging. Both will help you organize your resources by subject or type.
In Library select the list rather than the book front view and you will see many columns across the top. One is Type. One Type in your Library is "Bible Commentary". You can choose to sort on Type and you will see a list of the categories and you can expand each category.
You might find it helpful to refer to Logos' basic categories of your resources found on their web site: http://www.logos.com/upgrade as you try to apply tags or organize books into collections.
There are great collection rule suggestions on the wiki: http://wiki.logos.com/Collections
With tags and collections you can narrow down searches to the types of resources you want rather than searching your whole Library.
You just had a moving truck unload hundreds of boxes of books at your door. It will take time to organize them on your 'shelves' but the effort will be worthwhile.

Welcome [:D]
Wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Example_Collections that includes: If join Faithlife group Logos Collections, can copy Collections by clicking Get Copy to the right of the desired document name followed by synchronizing Logos. Alternative is Select All then Action => Get Copies
Wiki also has => http://wiki.logos.com/Getting_Started_with_Logos with many Tips that are usable in Logos 5.
Keep Smiling [:)]
