Logos 5 will not Open

I have had two problems with Logos 5 on Windows 7.

1. Will not finish indexing, even after 12 hours ( followed the un-hide steps, but no help)

2. Will not open.  Looks like it is opening, but then simply closes.

Do I need to re-install or is this an ongoing problem?
