Coincidentally, this AM I was reading the Letter of Peter to James (written well after he likely died; Kerygmata Petrou).
Peter assures James that Peter's trained cadre of preachers 'can not be led by the ambiguities of scripture to adopt any other viewpoint.'

That's a neat trick to be able to write a letter after you're dead. Of course, since we're talking about the apostles of the Church, we will certainly believe that. [;)]
More liberal scholars have demonstrated Peter must have written the letter only a few years after James' death, due to Peter's portrayal of Paul as 'the evil one'. Later Peter about-faced in 1 Peter (sneakily re-using parts of James' letter). Discussed a bit differently in Ehrman's lastest tome on NT forgeries.
