Learn to Use Ancient Languages

I'm new here. First post. I noticed the blog entry for today about learning to use ancient language. 15 hours of instruction and you receive the equivalent of three years of language study in a seminary. I'm an ancient language minor (probably one of the guys that enjoyed memorizing vocabulary and forms), but that's quite a claim. Just wondering what you all think? Would you utilize this in your church? The pre-pub is a pretty good deal.

there was an extensive conversation about this very thing. I believe what they meant was "functionally" equivalent, as in "able to use the tools effectively" not "you'll have every paradigm downloaded into your brain" sort of thing...

Like you I am interested in the potential of using this a resource in my church.

If you read the thread, you will notice that Logos is not quite sure whether or not they want to encourage its use in church groups.

Just wondering what you all think? Would you utilize this in your church?

From the discussion in the other thread, I don't believe this will work well in a Church setting. The material is designed for a single Logos user. It primarily shows how to use the Logos language resources. I don't see any way to use it to advantage in a congregational setting unless each of them owns and used Logos.
