OS X Mountain lion dictation feature no longer working since 5.0
I have Parkinson's and on top of that I am a very slow typist! I have DragonDictate but many times it's easier to use the built-in Mac dictation for example searching or just typing a command. In my opinion Mac dictation is a disability function that should be included in Logos. why was it disabled?

While it doesn't appear to work in most of the Logos app, it does work for me in notes, but the prompt appears in the lower left corner of my screen. I am with you...this is a feature that should remain enabled.

The news I have for you isn't good. First, this wasn't a supported feature. It came along as a "freebie" when Logos utilized the OS for the notes engine. PC users didn't have this "feature," by the way. Since Logos has created their own note engine (to provide features other users have been clamoring for), they no longer are using the OS engine… the consequence of this is that features such as spell check and dictation are no longer available. I hope at some point Logos will add these features back with their notes engine… but I don't think it is on their radar at the moment. [:S]

Which version are you using? Can you post a screen shot?

Mike - I meant for Integ to post a screen shot. It works for me! I'd post a screen shot, but when I do, the "siri" icon disappears.
My settings, which I assume are "default," means that I press the "fn" key twice. When I do so, dictation begins.
In fact, I dictated this to you right now. (the bold sentence) [:)]

Everything is default for me, Alabama. Does it work for you in the entire Logos app, or just the notes?

I did try mine in notes and it was working but it didn't work in the rest of Logos

Same for me. Did it used to work in other areas? I am unsure what would have changed to cause this if that is the case.

Before 5.0 it worked in all areas of logos. I used it quite a bit myself.
