Installing Logos 4 on an XP machine if I own a Logos 5 Base Package

I have a Logos 5 base package and use it on my Win7 machine. I also have another backup laptop with WinXP.

I realize that

There are a number of L5 features not available on L4 (i.e. Clause Search).
Logos 5 does not support XP.

So, my question is: Is it even possible for me to install Logos4 on an XP machine, and (with the understanding that a few new things won't be accessible) use my resources on that machine? Has anyone tried this?

It should work fine - during the Logos 5 beta testing people were maintaining L5 and L4 in separate environments (I had a L4 and L5 setup on the same computer) and it all worked ok.

I seem to remember some sync issues at some stage - and it is probably best to only have one copy open at a time - but I think you should be ok.

Hopefully if there is anyone running a similar config they will add some assurance.

It's not officially supported (http://blog.logos.com/2012/09/advanced-notice-on-discontinued-platform-support/) but it should still work (and sync properly) as long as you install the latest version of Logos 4.

Note that there is currently a known issue in Logos 4.6c SR-3 that can crash the application if certain data is synced from Logos 5. This will be fixed in Logos 4.6c SR-4.

Thanks guys...I tried it with good results. There was 1 resource that was not backward compatible (not sure which or how to find out), but all the features I would expect to work in L4 work fine. Kudos to the programmers! Great Job!
