Please create a new read and explain the issue. By "this new Mac version," do you mean 5.1a SR-1? If so, did you perchance download 5.1a? Did the problem exist then? What OS are you running?

Updated last night. When I went to study for a message (time is always short) it started indexing. I paused the index, hoping that the program will be immediately available, nope!
It says "Preparing your Library." Normally, the status bar shows "stage 1 or 2" or something like that and within a few minutes I can use the program. It has been hours.
All the hoop-la about Logos' wonderful features are moot, if the program is not dependable!
Please, fix the update process, so a user can at least open God's Word even if the index is not rebuilt, etc.

Reboot the computer and then start Logos.

Reboot the computer and try again. If unsuccessful repair the program in Control Panel >> Programs and Features --> right click Logos Bible Software and select Repair.

A couple of issues / requests:
1) The Logos taskbar icon said the size of this update was 71.9MB (Windows). Can these forum posts / release notes *please* state the expected size of the update? This was about 16MB larger than a typical update.
2) On a related note, can these forum posts / release notes *please* state whether we should expect to see UAC elevation during installation of the update. Normally it's not required, but I know occasionally portions of an update require it. I'd like to know ahead of time whether to expect it. Because this update was larger than normal, I expected to see a UAC elevation; but I didn't (perhaps because I'd installed 5.1a the night before.
Thanks,
Donnie

I had forgotten that method of repair.
Any reason that this happen - could it be when laptop goes to sleep during update?
Thanks

Could be. The MS installer has the occasional glitch.

I had a similar problem this afternoon. Re-downloaded the installation files (linked at the start of thread) and that seemed to do the trick. I think my update had gotten hung up in the middle of a memory dump. PTL it's working - I have a sermon to write!!
