windows RT logos app disappointing

Does anyone know if an update will be coming to the windows RT logos app? Right now it is very basic, and all you can do is read the books in your library, which is disappointing because I use my windows Rt tablet in seminary everyday and would like to be able to use logos to it's full ability, like how it looks on iPad. Is it really that difficult to port over the same software capabilities? I can't even do something as simple as parallel read to different books using the app. The amount I paid for my library and for the software, I would expect a lot more from the app

Sorry to tell you this, but I wouldn't count on it anytime soon. Logos threw together a quick app, but you are one of the very few people who actually purchased a windows RT device. [:S] Logos can't afford to spend much manpower on a platform with so few users.

Your question really answers itself. The answer is "yes," otherwise, it would have been done. The reason that the iOS app is further along in development is because it is the king of the mountain, and is an easier platform to develop for. The Android app lags behind development as well, but is much closer to the iOS app than the Windows RT one.

If you had purchased the Windows Surface Pro, you would have been able to run L5... whether that would have been a good choice is up for debate.

As far as I know, we don't promote the use of Logos 5 on Windows RT, but only on the full version of Windows. Have you seen some promotional material that indicated you would get a more functional app on Windows RT?

I may be coming late to this thread, in fact I know I am but thought I would throw in my 2 cents. RT is really not that bad at all. I have a personal laptop and a work one. Both have logos 5 for sermon prep. I have a surface rt 64 gig great buy actually, The productivity with this as compared to my galaxy note 8 is light years difference, I have also helped customers use iOS devices, and while yes the app is great in iOS the productivity just isn't there yet. The RT ease of use the type cover it all just is so intuitive. Would love for them to offer a more robust feature set in RT, but if they dont' I'll just use Pocket Bible like I do now. I dont' like it on my laptop but it's good for portability and sermon prep on the go. Still getting my full library etc on my rt would kick butt.

Based on what I have read RT is very close to becoming obsolete. I would not count on Logos (or any other company) to invest any time or money developing RT apps

Yes, because the RT is last year's model. The Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro are wonderful, IMHO. I won an iPad 2 a couple years ago. Phht, gave it away after 3 days. Couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. Bought an Android tablet - it was nice, but it was just a duplicate of my phone, and not that much bigger. So I sold it. Bought my Surface 2, and I love it. It has a couple warts, but it is the first tablet that I have used that works for me, and works for my work. I would love to have Logos available on it.

If you have the Surface 2 it is still running the RT operating system. The surface 2 Pro runs the full windows OS and L5 can be loaded onto that tablet.
