First, a suggestion. Logos should have a Greek and Hebrew vocabulary flashcard module. That would be an extremely useful tool for many folks, including college and seminary students (like me).

Read. Then read. Then read some more. Be sure to check unknown words in a reputable lexicon (such as BDAG, not Strong's). Keep a note file where you list the words you look up and how often. You probably have

It has a listing of frequencies. NEVER USE AN INTERLINEAR ! They're death on learning the language.

George, thanks for the comments. Flashcards can be helpful, but there is also no substitute for actually reading Greek.

They do, sort of. If you create a word list using that feature, there's an option in the print/export to print flashcards. I don't like how they are formatted, so I exported them to Word and then did some tweaking to print mine. I bought some of those laser-printer-ready blank business cards and they printed pretty well.

A friend of mine wrote an excellent and customizable flashcard program for Windows a long time ago, which I used for learning vocab when I took Hebrew in seminary. I haven't tried it recently, so I'm not sure whether it will still run on newer versions of Windows, but you can check it out:

Incidentally, Ken worked on the Old Testament Greek Pseudepigrapha with Morphology that Logos published. He morphologically tagged and lemmatized all the Greek text. So he's in tight with Logos, and if they wanted to integrate his very fine flashcard program into a future version of Logos, I'm sure they could get the code from him. (Hint, hint.)

Logos is aware of this, it has many votes on uservoice and Bob has promised we'll get it someday.

In the meantime, you may export your vocabulary lists, import them to Anki (or use any of the pre-existent vocabulary sets for this free program) - or any other flashcard program - and go from there.

Logos is aware of this, it has many votes on uservoice and Bob has promised we'll get it someday.

I thought Bob's promise (back in Dec 2011) was for the feature which now has been released, which is what Doc B was referring to above. I am guessing that the reason it hasn't been marked complete is that it still hasn't been implemented on the mobile platforms (I think), but as for anything more that "Bob has promised we'll get ... someday" I think what we've got is it. I would sure like to see it improved further, but I haven't heard anything from Logos that I can recall which would indicate they plan to add more to the flashcards feature.

Well, I read we "plan (but have not yet started coding) mobile flashcard applications for drilling on your phone. We are using an established memorization method with an algorithm for smartly rotating and reviewing cards." as something alike to Anki and not identical with being able to print paper flashcards, thus in my mind this is far from being complete.

I personally am a bit torn about this - there are free, well-established solutions out there, so Logos would sacrifice development time for something that at best can emulate what's there (while being constantly criticized for any bugs and unfinished functionalities on the way to a full solution - think of people expecting notes to have full-blown MS Word features). On the other hand I must admit that I run Logos every day whereas it's months that I opened Anki or other such apps. To have this integrated on the homepage - like the reading plans - would definitely help in training "along the way". It seems Bob decided to go for it, however not with full steam.
