Per resource default notes/highlight file

Forgive me if this is obvious and I have missed. My study workflow includes opening multiple resources on a topic layout (eg. OT quotations on NT). Current I have the 'use last file' setting for my highlighting/note taking. This becomes cumbersome as I cannot use shortcuts for highlighting, such as 'Y', because I'm never really sure which file the highlight will end up at.

What I need is a way to set a default note/highlighting file per resource so, unless I decide otherwise, any notes or highlights done on this resource will end up on a specific file.

At the moment, notesfile allocation is done at the palette level as opposed to on a resource-specific basis so you can't do what you want to do.

What you are suggesting, however, would be really useful and has been discussed in various places on the forums.

Hi Filipe. I agree that this would be very handy.

Though it's not useful for highlighting, you can achieve it for notes you write. What I do is open the note file when I open the resource. You can then right-click, and you get the option to add to add your comment to the open Notes file.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I see that this is a common issue and that quite a few users would like this implemented. Let's hope Logos address it soon.

Thank you Allen Browne. I already use the option of adding a note via the context menu. However with the addition of one notes/highlighting file per resource that will indeed be much faster and less error prone.
