Duplicate Bible Search Ranges

Hey All, I have noticed over the last month or so that when I go into do a search of the Bible using one of my defined reference ranges, I have duplicates for just about all of them.  For instance, I have every division of the English Bible as searchable reference ranges, so when I go to select which I want to search, I have several copies of General Epistles showing up, several copies of Gospels, et al.  Is there any fix for this?  I have no idea how it happened, but I have even deleted the duplicate copies, but they keep coming back.  I have no idea, just wondering if anybody out there knows about it.

This sounds like a Synchronization issue, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

Around early July, Logos released an update for version 5 that included some common Bible ranges. In the NT these were Gospels, Synoptic Gospels, Luke-Acts, Pauline Epistles, Pastoral Epistles, General Epistles,Petrine Epistles, Johannine Epistles, Johannine Literature, as well as numerous OT ranges. Since I already have many of these defined as well, I found I had them duplicated.

Further, there was a bug in the Android version of Logos such that the synchronization between Android and PC caused my custom Bible ranges to be duplicated. So now I had 3 copies of these ranges, and--what's more--these invalid ranges caused my PC to crash. I reported it in this thread, Bradley and the guys at Logos were quick to respond with a workaround (delete all custom ranges on the Android device) and a bug fix (version 5.1 SR-1).

So, perhaps you could tell us what devices you use to run Logos? We can then try to suggest a way to address this synch problem.

At a guess, it might be something along these lines:

• Close Logos on both (all?) devices while connected to Internet.
• Then open and close Logos on your computer while connected to the Internet so it can synch.
• Then open Logos on your other device (tablet/phone/whatever) and delete the custom ranges. Let it synch.
• Then open Logos on your computer and delete the custom ranges (if they haven't already disappeared).

Hope that points you in the right direction.
