Issues Navigating Spanish Bibles in English Base Package

I have Logos 5 in an English base package (Logos 4 Platinum + minimal crossgrade), but additionally bought the NVI and RVR60 Bibles in Spanish since I am involved in mission work and use these Bibles regularly for teaching preparation. However, I can't figure out a way to make it accept Spanish names of books of the Bible when I'm navigating. So, if I want to look up Ephesians in my Spanish Bible, I can't put in Efesios, but have to write Ephesians or an English abbreviation like Eph; or if I want to go to Acts I have to write Acts, not Hechos. I find this irritating as I'm frequently thinking in Spanish while working with these Spanish Bibles. Is there any way to change the navigation language? The contents list on the left has the correct Spanish book names, but the navigation bar to the left of the Visual Filters menu always shows English.

Have you tried downloading a Spanish version of L5?

The navigation is controlled by the application, not by the resource.  That means that if you set English as your interphase language in L5, the navigation will be in English even if the Bible is in Spanish.  In order to change the navigation language you have to change the interphase language to Spanish, but be aware that your entire application will be in Spanish, i.e., all the commands not just navigation, and that navigating an English language Bible will also be in Spanish.

You do not download a different "Spanish version" of Logos5 since there is only one L5 that can be run in English or Spanish (the current list of available languages also include Brazilian Portuguese, German, Swedish, French, Italian, and others).

Hope this helps and clarifies the issue,

    Blessings,

    Fernando

Thanks, Fernando. That helps me see why it acts how it does. I'll just live with the English settings.

    Fernando:

    Good Answer!

I wish Logos 5 would allow you to change interfaces with out reloading the program.

That was what I liked about Libronix.

    Hi Tom

I haven't been on the forums for a while...

I agree with your suggestion.  I for one, use my computer operating system and all my apps in English, but then when it comes to Logos I use it in Spanish because otherwise all my Bible searches and navigation gets confusing, just like Kevin described.

    Take care,

    Blessings,

    Fernando
