"Sense" in the word by word area of the exegetical guide

I have the Silver version Logos 5 for Mac. I want to be able to use the "sense" feature in the word by word area of the exegetical guide. What is the most economical way to be able to do this?

Hi John!

I'm guessing with silver, the 'sense' does show up in your word-by-word exegetical section, and you're wondering how to use? 

The best way (for me) is to click on the sense-word of interest. This pops open the Bible Sense Lexicon. The key (at present) is to 'work' the left grey panel of the BSL; the right side is mainly gee-whiz.

So for example, I'm in Mark 2.21 with 'patch' as the sense word of interest. Clicking on the sense, the BSL opens to 'patch'. The top graph show little use outside its synoptic use. No help there. Is there any significance to the word choice in the saying?

So in the lower grey section, I look for similar words by moving up a level to 'piece of fabric'. Then I scan for what other choices could have been used. The closest is 'linen cloth' which clicking on that choice, shows its use in burial practices (dead-end).

Next I would likely do a Bible Word Study to see its use outside the Bible. Sometimes, however, the related words in the 'sense' can be very useful in what the author was trying to communicate.

This is just an example, but Logos is slowly expanding it for more power. The present beta has some added features for end of this month.
