Editing lyrics is _painfully_ slow

Hi,

Every time we edit the lyrics for any slide, on-air or not, the whole program just grinds to an almost unusable halt because it is updating the edit preview and horizontal thumbnail slide list.

This is very frustrating.

Can you please make a change so that the slide update doesn't _take over_ the program? Limit the cpu usage for that thread, wait until the keyboard is idle for a period of time, stop updating when something new is typed? We would be grateful for anything that allows us to continue working without stopping every few seconds for Proclaim to catch up!

I feel your pain and agree wholeheartedly that the program is rather over keen to react instantly to key presses.

This is also evident when entering hymn titles as the search starts unnecessarily quickly on entering characters in the search string. I am sure that the Song Select server would be grateful for less load.
