(I guess Editing posts is broken. I've been able to select Edit on my previous post, but it won't let me actually edit it.)

It's finally live. It's awesome! I really like this. Beautifully done!

    A couple issues.

    • Sharing doesn't do what I would expect. I realize it would be a chore to add the ability to share actual stills from the slide show, but sharing a link to the website isn't a front page option. I would move it. Personal opinion.
    • I don't see a mute/vol control. I can use the phys vol control but I'd rather have default settings to launch it without volume.
    • There are some strange artifacts and redraw issues:

    (At Launch)

Portrait mode. Tapped the screen once.

Landscape. Mostly obscured but you can still see it along the left edge

One more. Without wi-fi it just displays an "Unable to connect to the server" message. Could it hold a small clip to display ALONG with the status message or even a few random still images? After re-enabling wi-fi, I had to terminate the app and then relaunch it to get it to play again.

Very happy to see this on Android!!! Great little desk piece or show piece.

Yes, sharing stills is a bit of a chore. That's why it didn't make version one. [:)] It is planned for the future, but I'm not sure how soon.

We originally considered having in-app volume controls, but decided that seemed like a very "un-Android-y" thing to do. Our opinion was that it seemed like most Android apps use the physical volume buttons.

What device are you using? I noticed some of the artifacting on my Nexus 4, but we haven't yet been able to track down what the issue is.

One of the best things about this app is it's size...206 KB. I would expect that number to go up quite a bit if we included video clips. [;)] But as i mentioned before, there is some additional functionality planned. As for wi-fi, the app is supposed to try to reconnect when wi-fi reconnects, so I'm not sure what happened there.

Have you tried the Daydream mode? I think that's my favorite. You can set your tablet up on your desk and it will automatically start displaying the stream while it's charging.

It's not a huge deal. But if prefs were added to the app, I would think an option to launch muted would be useful. IMO, android is all about choice and customization, but I wouldn't argue this point too much. I can deal.

This was observed on the 2nd gen Nexus 7 (2013) tablet. My Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone plays without any artifacting at all.

Again, and not trying to sound like a fanboy, but this app rocks. Thanks for the work on this.

(This forum bug that won't allow edits is getting annoying! because I never get my posts correct the first time.)

I just wanted to add that the artifacting is easily reproducible on the Nexus 7 (2013). Shutting down, restarting. Happens every time.

Is there any chance we would get these images as a searchable Logos resource? Would be great to use for sermons.

I believe there are plans to make these images available and searchable, but I don't think that will manifest itself as a Logos resource. I could be wrong though. [:)]
