Have you tried downloading the engine directly and installing that way?
I am currently running Logos Bible Software 5.1a SR-1 (5.1.1.0600). I can open the program by skipping the update. I am unsure if the update is software, or content.
I am currently running Logos Bible Software 5.1a SR-1 (5.1.1.0600).
The current version is 5.1a SR-2. You can normally find out the current version by looking towards the top of the L5 forum. Logos will create a new thread announcing the release, and "stick" it to the top. Here is the link to that thread, where you will find a link to download the new version directly.

Thanks. I downloaded the update and ran the install, and I still get the same error while it's installing.
I will try uninstalling first.
What OS are you running?
Don't delete your data files, unless you want to re download and index everything again! This may just be a OS permissions issue.
Windows 7.
Crud! I didn't delete anything, just ran the uninstall from Windows Programs... the files are still there, but it is re-downloading EVERYTHING. [:@]
Good news is the update install worked...
Is there any way to get Logos to look for the files?
Depending on where you are in the process the information at http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers might help
That worked. Thanks much to both of you.
Excellent.
You are very welcome
For the last several updates I have had to uninstall the Logos Prerequisites before the update will work. Any idea as to why this is happening? I then have to download the engine directly as you said.
