I am also really really looking for a full version of Logos 5 to be released for Windows RT.
Welcome to the forums Scott! [:)]
I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but it is extremely unlikely for Logos 5 to make its way to Windows RT. [:S] If you are a windows fan, you will need to make sure you purchase a windows pro tablet or computer.
Logos does have a mobile app for Windows RT, but it is VERY basic. Unless and until Windows RT picks up in popularity, it is unlikely for even that app to gain anything near parity with the iOS & Android apps.
Market share does not always reflect the "best" hardware. But software developers have to decide if they will service a niche or go after the mainstream. (My son bought a Microsoft Zune because of the Hardware specs and integration with His Xbox, while most of his friends went with the ipod). That hardware best fit his usage, but not the bandwagon of the masses. Hardware that runs Windows RT has some definite advantages in my humble opinion, but the masses are going crazy over iOS and Android. To my chagrin Logos has made the business decision to first write for the large marketshare then toss table scraps to the others). On the desktop, as a Windows user this brings me joy and causes frustration for my OSx friends. As a Win8 tablet owner it causes me frustration, but pleases my iOS friends.
I learned a long time ago that I first investigate the software that I want then have to buy the hardware that supports it. I only get frustrated when I commit to hardware then try to find software developers who support my platform.
P.S. I LOVE logos5 on my Surface Pro tablet!
If you have a Surface RT you should sell it — quick. Microsoft is... they selling them off because the Surface RT is the 'Zune' of tablets — i.e. dead in the water.
