problem with footnotes when citing Scripture

I am a Logos 5 user.  As a result of a recent update to the software, the footnotes are no longer correct when I copy Scripture from Logos and paste it into Microsoft Word.  The footnote is basically just citing The New International Version - there is no book of the Bible listed, nor is there a chapter number or verse number.

I'm not sure if some setting has been changed as a result of the update or if there is an actual bug in the software.  I called technical support and they had absolutely no idea of what I was talking about and proceeded to give me the following number to call 877-237-3168.  When I called this number, they appeared to be a 3rd party training company.  They were familiar with the Logos software, but had absolutely no idea of how to resolve this.

Thanks for your assistance!

I think there has been a regression as I used to see book/chapter/verse, but I can't remember the Citation style. Perhaps Logos can comment.

    Todd,

This was a change made recently in the software for bibliographic citations. The idea was to make the citations more correct with regards to bibliographic citations which never include verse references for Bibles (although in-text parenthetical references do, of course).

An unintended side affect was the fact that Copy Bible Verses uses this same code and thus removed useful functionality of that feature.

I'll file a regression and we'll take a look at how we can restore that functionality and still ensure high fidelity citation formatting as well.

This will be fixed in 5.1b SR-1.
