cost of crossgrade from 4 to 5 too high -- will crossgrade from 4 to 6 be possible?

The cost of the crossgrade from Logos 4 to 5 would be $160 for me.  I think $25 would be reasonable just to stay current -- the new features and resources are just nice-to-haves.  Therefore, I'll stick with 4.  However, will we be able to upgrade from 4 to 6, and if that's possible, would it cost $160 x 2?

If you don't want the new datasets and resources, you can upgrade for free. Just go to www.logos.com/download

You'll get lots of new features, too: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/73729.aspx

    Welcome to the forums!

Who knows... But the answer to the first part is very likely yes. As Mark suggested, you can update to the new engine for free... The software is always free... You pay for the resources. Some of the new features require new resources, hence the new cost.

Thanks for the fast reponse and the good news that the engine is free.

Unfortunately, I'll still need to stay on Logos 4 for an undefinite period.  My installation is on Windows XP, and Logos 5 doesn't run on this 32-bit OS.  I know that Microsoft says that it is going to stop supporting XP next year, but we'll see what happens.
