Double hop issue with linked panes

With quite some frequency I like to have a Bible and a Commentary open and linked together in the Android app. I like being able to click the links in the commentary and get some context on what is being spoken about. The fact that the panels are linked and move together is great, in general.

However, I find it quite irritating that when I click on a Bible link it opens up the Bible link in the other panel... and then if the commentary covers that section of the Bible it in turn moves the Commentary as well, something I don't really ever want to happen.

I understand this is working the way it was designed. I'm just sharing that I wish that double-hops (or whatever you want to call it) like this did not happen when panels were linked.

    Hello Devin,

We're always working to make the app work best for the most people. Unfortunately many people expect this to link both panels, so it's a difficult problem.

The best I can suggest is to disable panel linking before clicking that link (you can long-press on the split-pane grabber to quickly toggle this on and off), then re-enabling it once you navigate to reference where you want them both in sync.

    Thanks!
