Read Aloud

I was wondering why my read aloud does not work no more. I've had this program for many years it have always work on all my books. Now that I have purchase a new laptop and downloaded the program on it, it does not work. It will work on the Greek text but not the others "WHAT UP WITH THAT." If I try it, the program freeze.

I have hp laptop and the gold package, I do know all that other stiff. this is a new laptop. it will read aloud the greek stiff very well, other books it will not work. if I try the other book it freeze up.

We have had a couple of customers report a hang in Logos 5 after reading aloud. (There is no error in the logs, just a hang when you close the resource panel.)

As best we can tell, this is caused by a bug in the Microsoft Speech Synthesis code. We are still researching a fix and/or workaround, but have no further information at this time; the only way to avoid it is to not use the Read Aloud feature.

This problem only occurs on an extremely small number of computers, and we have not identified a common factor linking the hangs.

I am having the same issue. I have been work with Logos development team for about a month now on this. In fact the ask for more info today from me to help resolve the issue.

I am having this problem on my new Dell desktop and laptop. Hope to see this resolved soon.
