In case you don't know about it, Microsoft offers the "Home Use Program" for employees whose employers participate in certain Enterprise License programs for Microsoft products, and who use a licensed installation of MS Office at work. The typical deal is: you pay about $10 and can legally download and install MS Office Pro on your home computer. It is legal as long you remain an employee of that firm who uses MS Office at work. It's quite a sweet deal if you qualify.
You can read about the HUP at MS's website, but the place to start is the person who manages the IT licenses where you work. I'm in the US and not sure of the international applicability.
The reason this is relevant to Logos is MS Word 2013's ability to convert text-level PDFs to .docx, which can then be compiled in Logos as a Personal Book.. It really shines when converting a PDF that has "live" footnotes, as Word will convert those to linked footnotes. (A quality many of us have been happily using for months.) CCEL.org is a great source for such PDFs.
Not to mention getting Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, et al.
