Community Pricing - bidding doesn't work (Chrome)

I can't seem to bid in CP. I try to click on a price, but nothing happens. Here's a screencast demonstrating it:

Someone else was having a problem with CP bidding recently too, but Mike said that problem has been found and fixed, so I'm not sure this is related, but here's that other thread just in case: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/74801.aspx

Thank you for the report Rosie. I promise it was working as I tried it out the other day, but you are right it's not working right now.
I'll enter a new case as this appears to be something different.
Thanks,

Need to remember that those of us working with Google/Android machines cannot just switch to another browser so we are unable to bid while Chrome is not working with the site changes...

Found a Windows system and bidding is not currently working with IE9 either.....

David, there are several other browsers available for the Droid market.

I didn't find it to work in any browser when I entered the case.

Thanks, Mike. I hope this gets fixed soon.

With three CPs scheduled to close today, there may be quite a few customers around the world who do not get the opportunity to adjust their bids in time.

I ckecked the CP page and found that I had no bid in two of the three CPs closing today. Tried to bid with IE 9 on Windows from the individual resource pages and found the following:
- clicking on the chart to bid my price (as I usually do) seems not to work at all
- clicking (or double clicking) on the "bid" button eventually did work (very shortly saw a top of page ribbon "your bid of .... has been placed" at least on one of the two - on the other I saw that my bid had moved the going price down, making visible the green price indicator)
- the green display (over the yellow) of my to-be successful bid at going rate didn't work
Re-opening the CP page sorted by progress now shows all three with grey buttons, and the individual pages don't have bid-buttons anymore, but the green display only works where my bid is higher than the going rate, otherwise it's yellow instead of green.
Bottomline: on IE9 bidding "sort of" works via the bid-button, but seemingly not via click, and there are display bugs.

Rosie, your video seems to show that in Chrome - as well as in IE 9 what I described above, and thus probably in all browsers - the bidding via click into the chart doesn't work, however, bidding the going price via the blue "bid now" button does work and worked for you as well. It's easy to overlook since displaying a bid at going rate in the chart is broken, but the button is replaced by "you bid $... at" which means it works.
I'm just harping on that for those users who want to participate in CPs closing today: it's possible, but not via clicking the chart.

did you bid going price with the button, or did you click into the chart?

Good find NB.Mick, when I tried that yesterday it didn't work for me to click the bid button, but it does now this morning via Chrome on the iPad, but the other UI is still broken. I am thinking that we will fix this ASAP.

I am thinking that you ought to delay the closure until Monday. (Longer if you don't get it fixed today.) People shouldn't miss out, or pay more, because the system isn't working as it should.
(I'm also thinking some more increments would be nice.[;)])

The Bidding should now be fixed in that you can place bids for the prices on the graph and the Bid button. There still is an issue that I created a case for when you bid at the Projected Price where it should turn the price in the graph green rather than the yellow/orange color it currently does.
Thanks,

Bidding seems to be fixed. Need to consider what opportunities those living on the other side of the world have had to bid or modify bids on those items closing in just over an hour.....

Thanks, Mick. You're right. I missed that because the bar at the bid price doesn't change color from yellow, a remaining bug which Mike Estes has noted and made another case for.
However I'm glad to confirm that the basic functionality of bidding by clicking on the chart is now fixed. I still think the CP's that were closing should be extended by a few days since this has been broken.
