Low Light Highlighting

When I am reading at night in lowlight and I go to highlight a passage or word, it always bothers my eyes to get a white background to pick a highlight. Wondering why the background is not black with white lettering? It would make reading better to not have the shock of white background when reading in low light.

I agree that it would be nice to do something like that. Hopefully Logos will do something like that in the future... One thought, however.... Highlighting within L5 is very complicated, with many styles. Transferring them all to the lowlight would not work. For example... You can have blue lettering, or blue highlight. Would both be rendered as blue lettering in lowlight? (I would not mind so, but those who use the many various styles to distinguish text might not agree).

This case was written up a while back but we haven't get gotten to it.  Thanks for the reminder.
