Making the switch to Mac...

So, after being a PC user my entire life, I'm looking to make a switch over the Mac. I've read through the forums here and have seen that the transition (regarding Logos) should be simple. However, I've also seen a few folks indicate that the specs of the machine may matter. Therefore, if anybody has any thoughts on the following specs, feel free to throw them my way.

MacBook Pro - 2.6ghz, 8gb RAM, 512 SSD. (I'm really wondering if I should justify the expense of upgrading the RAM to 16gb, specifically for Logos. I am spending church resources after all.)

PS - I know that the new MBP lineup is coming out in days. This is why I'm most interested in the above machine/specs. It's on a tremendous sale right now as various vendors are clearing their stock. Additionally, I'm about to hand over my PC to a new staff person, so I'd like to order a MBP sooner rather than later, but I 'can' use an alternate PC for several weeks if necessary. If you have any thoughts as to whether I should order now or wait, feel free to share.

FYI - This forum is "Logos Four Mac" not "Logos For Mac." You should be using the Logos 5 forum. If you are still using the L4 engine, you should download the free L5 engine when you get your new computer.

Logos 5 and 4 are 32 bit applications that cannot use more than 2 GB of RAM. Amount of RAM needed depends on applications being open and used at the same time.

Yeah, I just saw that Logos recommends 6+gb ram. I know that the current Logos 4 runs *slow* on my current Windows laptop. That said, I'm sure the power of the MPB will help a great deal, though Thanks.
