Match All Word Forms Not Working

I am attempting to perform a simple Bible search for σωμα in Colossians and to match all word forms. I selected Match All Word Forms and performed the search in NA27. I only got two results - Col 2:17, 19. After deselecting and selecting again Match All Word Forms and searching in UBS4, I got the same result. I then searched for the other forms of the word in addition to the lexical form and ended up with several more instances, so the problem is simply that Match All Word Forms is not working. Does anyone know why this feature would not be working? My library is indexing; could that have anything to do with affecting my search?

    Welcome to the forums Anthony!

Yes, absolutely. The index is how searches work, so your results may not work correctly.

As for the specific problem, I am not proficient in the OL, and don't have much to add. I do know that there were some problems with the resource updates that downloaded last week, and a new batch may come out today or tomorrow.

Indexing will affect searches, but I tend to think the issue is the kind of search you picked. "Match All Word Forms" is for English texts to include plural forms etc., whereas from your description it looks like you want to do a lemma search on the greek word. The easiest way to do so is to invoke it via right-click on one of the verses you found.

(I'm away from my L5-PC right now, so I can't test or include screenshots, but maybe you can give it a try and report results)

Thanks for the help! I did a lemma search and got 8 results, which is what I was hoping for. The problem was my searching in Greek, I believe.
