Scheduling bug = pull down time list

I have noted a consistent problem with the schedule.  Let's say it is 12 pm and I am entering a list of upcoming events on the calendar.  The calendar item name is entered and the start time.  Say I am scheduling an event for the next Sunday in the morning which ends at 10:00 am.  My pick list at the end time only goes back about 1.5 hours from the current clock on my computer.  This means the work around is to make sure I enter these future events sometime in the morning so I can use the pick list to pick an appropriate time.  Shouldn't the end time pick list be related to the start time pick list and not the current time on the computer?
