Please expand the implementation of the "open" command to allow "open <resource> to <location>" wherever it makes sense, not just for Bibles. It should work for any resource that has addressable locations (commentaries, books with page numbers, lectionaries, resources with headwords).
Suppose I'm preaching on January 17, 2010. I want to look now (in December 2009) to see what the lectionary text is for January 17. I want to open the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) to January 17, 2010. I want to be able to type in the command box: rcl to 1/17 The format 1/17/2010 would also be accepted (or January 17, 2010), but Logos should be smart enough to fill in the year if I leave it off. 99.9% of the time if I put in a date without the year, I'm talking about the occurence of that date within the next 12 months from now; so in this case, even though we're in 2009, it should know I most likely mean Jan 17, 2010
For commentaries, the Bible reference should work, e.g., any of the following should open the genesis volume of the Believer's Church Bible Commentary to Genesis 22:1:
bcbc: genesis to 22
bcbc to genesis 22
bcbc: genesis to 22:1
bcbc to gen 22:1
For books with page numbers, the obvious choice would be p <n> to jump to a particular page number, the p being optional, and an optional period after it being accepted, as you can do in the location box at the top of these resources; for example any of these should work:
Growing in Christ to p89
Growing in Christ to 89
Growing in Christ to p. 89
For books with headwords, the headword should serve as a way to navigate immediately; for example:
ISBE to Amnon
