Can I install Logos 4 on both my laptop and desktop, iow on 2 computers? One is Vista the other Windows 8.

Short answer = if both computers belong to you, yes.
so it's just a matter of installing it on the second computer like I did on the first one?
You can install Logos on 100 computers if you would like... as long as you own them and they are for your personal use ONLY. You can download the engine (see my signature line) and redownload the resources, or you can use a method from the wiki to save the downloading of resources.

Yes. You could also load the FREE engine on your Win8 computer. All the resources from L4 will be downloaded, but you will get many of the benefits of the latest version. www.logos.com/install

As others have said, "yes."
But be aware that changes on one (open layout, etc.) will be synced to the other. If your goal is to have 2 separate installs with separate preferences, sync won't let you do that. On the other hand, it's pretty seamless going from work on one to continuing the same work on the other (home/work computers, e.g.).

As has been said, the L5 engine is free. Both computers are capable of running L5 and you are strongly encouraged to update your engine.
