Hi Ronald. I only comment because no one else has.... I am not sure if this will be helpful.
I just preached through the passage. To me the passage is tightly wound up with Paul's view of Christ's union with His church and this being pictured in marriage. I.e. It seems to me that Paul sees Christ's caring for His church (His body) is the motivation for a husband to care for his wife (his own flesh since the two are one just like Christ is one with His people). It is a beautiful picture really...
